Growing up in South Shields, I always remember watching the finish of the Great North Run, particularly as my Grandparents house looked onto the finishing area. It always looked like fun for the runners. I’ve managed to do the Great North Run a couple of times over the years. This year, I’m looking forward to running a different route for the SHINE Fund. Something I have appreciated during the Pandemic is the little extras in life, and if I can support the SHINE fund to give something extra to those using mental health services it feels quite worthwhile.
