Story
Gary, Ken, Martin, and myself will be doing a skydive from 15,000 feet at the Black Knights Parachute Center in Cockerham, Lancashire on 24th April 2022 to help raise funds for Kidneys for Life and to raise awareness of kidney disease.
In January 2021 Gary donated a kidney, and his wife Julie received a kidney as part of the UK Living Kidney Sharing Scheme (UKLKSS).
So, how did all this come about?
I first met Gary at Manchester Airport in 2001 - working many unsociable shifts together we bonded over the virtues of Microsoft Windows XP SP1. A man of strong principles, Gary has an unparalleled penchant for winding up disagreeable colleagues...
I also met the 'legend' Ken Craig at Manchester Airport in 2001 - Ken was so highly regarded in the Airport community the IT board room was named in his honour. I have been tasked with double checking kens chute and rigging prior to the jump, he is at high risk of sabotage for crimes against comedy, and dubious umpiring decisions.
Looking forward to the skydive and raising some coppers for the Kidneys for Life charity.
