Story
On a personal level, this is an event set up to celebrate and remember Michael O’ Hare and raise money for a really great cause. Michael and his family have been huge influences on me, their strength and positivity is something everyone on this fundraising process will learn from and the money we raise will help instill those characteristics into many young people's lives.
This charity does great work to aid the families of sufferers of cancer up to the age of 24. Most of us have been affected by cancer in some way and it is particularly difficult to see young children having to suffer with this affliction every day, so the money raised will provide them with at least some respite at the facilities provided by the NICFC.
This is an opportunity for everyone to be part of a team and share an amazing experience, something Michael was really keen to get involved in on behalf of the charity.
This is also for anyone who doesn’t want to participate in the event itself but just wants to get involved in the fundraising process. If anyone has any useful tips they would like to offer then please feel free and also if anyone would like to complete the walk with me, then don’t hesitate to contact me and take a bit of time to talk the details over. This has the potential to be an amazing experience for everyone involved and great way to help fund treatments for young patients and give them the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Finally I would like to thank everyone who has contibuted to the fundraising process so far and those who have donated sponsorship.
