Story
In 2020 my Mum died and as a result I started running - to keep my mind occupied and get fitter. I miss her.
I hadn't got a particular goal, but when my friend Sam suggested running 250km across Jordan in the desert - I did hesitate! But I'm trying and determined to achieve.
It's a once in a lifetime experience (unless I get the bug!) and I wanted to use the opportunity to raise some funds for Cruse bereavement care. I was a volunteer counsellor for them some years back and having lost both my parents, I know how tough bereavement can be. Sometimes just being able to talk about how you feel and normalise grief can be the thing that gets you through.
We will all lose someone we love at some point in our lives and we may well need someone to listen, help us through the dark days and normalise what we go through.
If you can give anything at all - I know these are tough times - it would be very much appreciated.
