Story
In January 2016 I began working at St Oswald's Hospice in Gosforth, Newcastle. Even in this short time I've been blown away by the amazing support that is given to adults, children and their families during the course of their illnesses.
St Oswald's is an independent hospice celebrating its 30th birthday this year and requires over £7million of fundraising each year to support its adult and children inpatient unit, day hospice and lymphoedema clinic, to name just a few services.
Two of my friends have been equally as inspired by the fantastic work that goes on at St Oswald's and we are all keen to help in any way possible. Hannah, a GP trainee, will be joining me in running the Great North Run September 11th and Helen, a children's nurse at North Tees Hospital, will be trekking with me along parts of the Great Wall of China between 29th October - 6th November.
Please dig deep and help in any way you can for this amazing cause and help us reach our massive fundraising target by August 2016! Once you donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to the charity - we have contributed our own money to pay towards entry fees, trip flights and accommodation to allow for as many donations to reach the hospice as possible.
