We raise money to support sick and premature babies

Story

Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am joining a team of 10 from across Close Brothers Group who have taken the bold (and slightly crazy) decision to walk / jog 100km along the Thames Path from Putney to Henley to raise important funds for First Touch - a charity based at St George's Hospital which is close to our Wimbledon Office. We're aiming to walk / jog non-stop so we complete the challenge within 30 hours.

We selected First Touch for the great work they do in supporting the Neonatal Unit at St George's Hospital in Tooting - which cares for over 600 sick and premature babies every year - with some born as much as four months early. This includes recently helping the baby of one of our colleagues at Close Brothers. One priority of the charity is to purchase crucial specialist equipment - as a team we are hoping to raise over £4,000 which will fund two neo-puffs (infant resuscitators), enabling even more newborn babies to breath.

If you are short on time, an alternative quick way to donate £10 is to simply text ADGM59 £10 to 70070, and the donation will be included on your next phone bill instead.

Many thanks in advance,

Alex

First Touch supports sick and premature babies cared for at St George’s neonatal unit in SW London. We fund state-of-the-art equipment and specialist staff training which are outside of the scope of NHS budgets, as well as a range of initiatives to support families during their stay on the unit.
