Story

** UPDATE **

It was certainly hot yesterday at the Marathon!  I finished the race is 2:31:55 - if you've not already sponsored me, it'd be great if you could spare a few pounds for WheelPower - a great cause!

***********************************************

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.  After spending the last 18 years playing professional sport I’ve decided to retire and take things easy by doing the London Marathon.

I’m used to doing 90 foot sprints on a basketball court and I’ve got to go a little further - 26 miles 385 yards in total.

I had Polio which affects the spine so I’ve chosen to raise money for a very important charity. WheelPower is a charity that has helped me since I was 14 and continues to help many other disabled people

I am very keen to get your support, especially if I am going to punish myself in this way. Please be generous.

With your support, my aim is to positively change the lives of many people with spinal cord injuries and other disabilities so please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: WheelPower will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.

Ade
