Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I have just completed the London Marathon!!! For those of you who dont know how far that is its 26.2 miles or 42km!! I did it in 4hours 45minutes overcoming severe knee pain and the blistering sun!  I want to say thank you so much for everyones support it really helped me through it and i couldnt have done it without you all!!!!

Many children across the world live in dangerous and poor communities, some of them survive alone on the street or work in exploitative conditions to supplement meagre family incomes.

The International Children’s Trust is an international development organisation providing support to vulnerable children in six countries around the world. They work with local Partner organisations to help these children access their rights to education, protection and shelter so that they can survive the traumas which poverty brings. 

Programmes focus on the needs of the individual child and their family to provide effective and long-term support.  Family work, child psychology and education are used as key elements to help children move out of poverty. They also support the creation of children’s clubs and youth forums to encourage children to find their own voice. 

Together the ICT and its partners work to address the physical, social, psychological and emotional issues which affect these children.  The support of these long-term field programmes enables communities to break the cycle of poverty for the future and not just address issues in the short-term.
