This September I will be taking part in the great north run. It is a massive 13.1 miles, and I am aiming to do it within 1 hour 50 minutes, for someone with no running experience this is a massive challenge. Newcastle is an exceptionally special place to me, it holds many wonderful memories, and is where my dad called home. My brother ran this a couple of years ago and he has inspired me to do the same.

Macmillan are a really important charity to me, not only did they help dad when he was under going treatment, I have since volunteered for them and seen how many people, young and old, they help across the UK.
