We provide palliative and end of life care to those living with life-limiting illness

Story

In July 2022 I lost my incredible father, Colin, to Multiple Myeloma. During his illness he was making and selling birdboxes to raise money for the hospital where he had his stem cell transplant and he wanted me to do something to match his donation. I joked maybe I could cycle the length of the country, and that was the last we spoke of it.

Fast forward 6 months and he was cared for by the community team at Dorothy House before finally being admitted, where he spent the last week of his life. Whilst he was in the hospice he took great pleasure in telling all of the wonderful nurses that I was going to be cycling from Lands End to John O' Groats to raise money for them, and that was that.

We are a team of 7 cyclists (myself, Lynsey, Christine, Duncan, Ian and Peter, plus man-with-the-van Gary) who will be taking on this epic challenge for Dorothy House in memory of Colin. The staff at Dorothy House are all real life angels, so if you can, please help us to raise as much as we can for this wonderful charity. THANK YOU. Em
