Story
My dear friends,
Soon, I am running 10 kilometres in BUPA Great Yorkshire Run in Sheffield. I am fit enough to challenge this distance but I still need to prepare myself to this event. Now I work very hard running 4 times per week about 50-60 kilometres per week. My goal is to break the barrier of 40 minutes. I hope I will be the first person wearing Cancer Research UK's vest who will cross the finish line :). So far I have been running only for fun but recently I have decided to run to rise money for Cancer Research UK http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/ . It is all for a great cause. Worldwide, many people die because of cancer every year. Every pound you contribute will really make a difference.
Another thing. I am Polish and I graduated at the University of Sheffield in 2008. I spent here lovely 2 years. I met great people here and obtained valuable education. Now I live in Poland but I do not forget about my time in Sheffield. England is very close to my heart and I always treat it as my second homeland. So, this is the second cause of my running in Sheffield. I just want to give back smth to British people. Thus, if I rise some money for Cancer Research UK I will be very happy.
I hope that my effort to run 10 kilometres will encourage you to support Cancer Research UK. Thank you very much for your support and donation. I really appreciate it !!!
Ps. If you see me during Great Yorkshire Run in Sheffield please cheer me on!
