Story
The Lincolnshire Mid & Lincoln Branch RSPCA is a charity with close ties to my heart. Without the intervention of the charity, Fenton (my now 5-year-old totally bonkers Border Collie rescue pup) would have undoubtably failed to survive the terrifyingly inhumane conditions that he, mother & siblings were subject to at an illegal puppy farm. Fortunately, all were rescued six days after birth, provided with the necessary care to ensure they regained full health and rehomed to loving households.
This is just one of many examples highlighting the fantastic work that RSPCA Lincolnshire Mid and Lincoln Branch carry out, and it has really given me an appreciation of the difference that the charity makes to animal's lives.
As a means of giving back, I have chosen to run the Lincoln 10K with all sponsorship raised being donated to the RSPCA Lincolnshire Mid and Lincoln as my chosen charity. Initially I will aim to raise £200.
If I fail to complete the event in under 40 minutes (12 minutes faster than my PB and ridiculously unrealistic), I will also personally donate £50 and the race fee's.
Feel free to offer support on the day as I am certain it will be required by the 9th kilometre (and highly likely the 2nd).
