We raise funds for Adamsrill School to enhance the education of the pupils

Story

We are a group of Adamsrill Primary School parents, running the Vitality Big Half on Sunday 1st March 2020. The group now known as ‘The Adamsrill Runners’ want to help raise money for the school and are going to put the money raised towards new books and equipment for the library. Adamsrill wants to make a welcoming space for children, where they are able to develop and nurture their love for reading. With the current funding situation in schools reaching crisis point, we want to do everything we can as a community to help the school raise much needed funds.

We are taking on the challenge of the Vitality Big Half (half marathon). Some of us in the group (which has 17 runners) are already runners striving for a PB whereas for others this is a completely new challenge. We have been meeting once a week together and have been braving the dark, cold and more often than not wet nights! Some of us have even been meeting celebrities along the way… but this is making it sound far too glamourous! Needless to say we all have one thing in common and this is to raise money for a much needed cause. Please support us, whether it’s a few pennies or a few pounds!
