We offer vital end of life care and support to local people when they need it most.

Story

Well this is my first ever ventue into long distance running, furthest distance before has been 5km! I have decided to compete in the Potters Arf Marathon in Stoke On Trent.

I have decided to try and raise money for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice, Registered Charity number 1071613 based in North Staffordshire. This local charity is a hospice that provides care for those who are terminally ill, completely free of charge.

More about the charities ethos is below. I ask for you to please donate, whether it be a £1 or a £100, all the money will go to this wonderful charity.

On a lighter note coming back from holiday a few pounds heavier will not deter me from crossing that finish line in the Potters Arf! I am in training and on track to do this! So please everyone I know, please just give something. I will be forever grateful.

Douglas Macmillan Hospice provides specialist palliative care for adults across North Staffordshire and bordering areas, who have cancer and other life limiting illnesses, completely free of charge . The Hospice needs to raise over £7 million each year and with no association with any national charity or organisation bearing a similar name, the Hospice is dependent upon the continuing generosity of our supporters.

Thanks

Adam
