Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Adam's JustGiving page.

Adam was a much loved teacher, supporting schools and children around the world.

Adam was violently assaulted in 2012 whilst working in Thailand and suffered a traumatic brain injury which left him severely disabled. He was cared for in various hospitals and care homes in the UK for six years and for the last two years has received 24 hour care at his parent's home in Leeds from a dedicated team of carers.

Sadly the constant fight to overcome his injuries proved too much for him and on the morning of the 3rd January 2021,  he died.

Because of the Covid restrictions, numbers are severely limited for his funeral. We recognise that many people may like to make a donation in memory of Adam. We have selected a charity called " Shine" because of its work in supporting disadvantaged children. It's aim is to help children to achieve the best qualifications so that they  leave school with real choices in their  future lives. The charity was originally based in London but has  now moved to Leeds to support children in the North of England. Adam was born in Keighley in West Yorkshire, lived in Leeds and taught in Wakefield. He has long standing connections with the North of England  and we believe he would wish to support children from this area.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
