We provide life-changing support to babies, children and young people.

Story

Due to a series of unfortunate events during lockdown one we have ended up enrolled in the Northumberland Ultra Marathon.

We are asking for your amazing generosity and donations of any size towards a fantastic little charity which is focused solely on the North East.

Children North East exists because growing up can be hard. They create life-changing differences for babies, children and young people in their families, schools and communities. They offer support at those times when a little help can make a big difference for a child and its future. These are often the times when if things go wrong, they are likely to have a far-reaching detrimental effect on the child. Ultimately, their mission is that all North East babies, children, and young people grow up to be healthy and happy. Whether it is in their family, at school, or in their local community. Coronavirus is having a huge and detrimental impact on the most disadvantaged in our region. They need the charity’s help more than ever as the virus amplifies the issues they’re facing.

The run itself is 36.7 miles on mainly trails, dunes, and beach. Taking place on Saturday May 29th it starts in Alnwick then heads south east to Alnmouth before heading all the way up the coast to Budle Bay, and ending at Bamburgh Castle.

Wish us luck, and thanks in advance for your kind generosity.
