Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In May 2014 my brother Adam passed away after a year long battle with a Brain Tumour, he was 42!
In May 2013 he was a fit, active and busy farmer. He built up his farm from the age of 14 and lived his dream every day. A freak accident whilst tagging a calf caused a back injury and a limp which gradually got worse. A swift MRI at the RVI determined the diagnosis of a Brain Tumour. On 24th June he had a biopsy which confirmed a Grade 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme. Radiotherapy for 6 weeks followed combined with a 7 month course of Chemo. He suffered Blood Clots, Shingles and Seizures which weakened him as the months went on.
He never gave up hope! and neither did his family. His strength, determination and bravery are something i will never forget. He always supported my charity events and i know he would be chuffed that i was doing this one in his memory. He was a great man and is so dearly missed, the more research that is carried out, the more chance that a cure can be found and prevent this destroying disease!
