London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·
On October 18 2011 my Dad lost his battle with cancer. The weekend after we lost him I saw people coming back from the Birmingham Half Marathon and I decided that I was going to run the half marathon in his memory to raise money for Cancer Research.
I got off the sofa and started running and training towards my goal of completing the Birmingham half marathon.
Since then I have ran 7 Half Marathons including 2 in the same week raising £2,800 for Cancer Charities thanks to the incredible support from my friends and family.
This year after 3 failed attempts I was lucky enough to win a ballot place in the London Marathon and so I will be doubling my distance and running the 26.2 miles for Help Harry Help Others a local Birmingham charity that is raising money to restore their respite centre.
About Help Harry Help Others
We at HHHO often receive requests for help from families who are going through traumatic times, with money becoming tighter and more frequent hospital visits all they wish for at the end of the day is to go home to their own special place, but how if they are financially broken can they do this if their home has fallen into disrepair. With your help we can help renovate and help them to have basic living standards which every family deserves. This is where we help project manage and help individual families as and when needed
