Story
My name is Adam Bateman, and I am running the London Marathon in April 2016 for the charity 'Brain Tumour Research and Support'.
I decided to run the marahton on behalf of my friend (Ross Starkie, 28 years old) who has been battling a brain tumour for 12 months now with many more difficult and heartbreaking months ahead on his road to recovery. The condition has put his family through some of the most difficult times imaginable with months spent at Leeds general hospital. .......... Ross is still fighting the condition at a rehab recovery at Pendle community hospital. Fortunately he seems to be overcoming the condition however many thousands of others aren't so fortunate. As a group of friends we want to make a difference and put a smile back on faces of families and patients who are affected by this life changing condition.
We are all coming together to raise as much money as possible to make a difference and to support future families who are also battling against brain tumours.
Many people are affected by tumours and it is very close to home to numerous families and hopefully we can all contribute towards battling the condition.
With your help we can raise thousands of pounds on the night and make a difference to the lives of many people across the United Kingdom.
Thanks again,
Adam Bateman & Ross Starkie
