Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

There was a time, many moons ago, when I used to think I was quite fit. Then, years of long hours, moving countries, and the joy of sleepless nights with small brats in the house led to the insidious onset of middle-aged spread, lethargy, and an intimate relationship with high GI index carbohydrates.

At the same time, deepening rifts between different segments of the UK community, caused by international conflicts, misinformation, stereotypes and downright racism have brought the issue of segregation to the forefront; from POTUS sharing Britain First videos, to a few Muslim patients refusing to see me because I'm Israeli.

How can I help to overcome both of these problems? Simple.

Tough Mudder is a gruelling challenge, the likes of which I've never attempted before. A race through miles of muddy terrain, punctuated with the most unpleasant and perhaps dangerous obstacles; from swimming through muddy ice pools, to jumping through flames and crawling through high voltage electric wires. Training for this challenge will take me months of work, dedication and discipline, as well as a good deal of patience and support from Deborah. In doing so, I plan to raise money for the Three Faiths Forum - a fantastic charity which works to build bridges between people of all faiths and none, encouraging better understanding and cohesion between the different denominations within British society. Even Southerners.

Please give generously to help me raise money for this amazing cause, and to help maintain my motivation as I get up at stupid o'clock 5 days a week to train before work.

Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you in advance for your help!
