I have set myself the challenge of taking on 20 marathons and 20 half marathons in 2020 in order to raise much needed funding for the charity Children with Cancer UK.

Children with Cancer UK actively raise and invest money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their family together. Its vision is a world where every child diagnosed with cancer gets to ring their end of cancer treatment bell.

The first marathon kicks off on 4th January 2020, closely followed by the second on 5th January...  I aim to finish the attempt in early December 2020. 

As part of the challenge I intended to participate in a number of events associated with and supporting Children with Cancer UK directly, including their ''Flagship" event - The 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon, together with 3 of the Challenge Ultra Series (50km) Events with which they are associated (Peak District, Cotswolds and Chilterns). 

However, given the situation with Covid-19, I (understandably) saw many of my booked up events cancelled.  As such I have been replacing the cancelled events with my own GPS tracked runs of the same distance, so that I can complete the challenge and raise the funds in 2020 as planned. All events and additional GPS tracked runs will be available for public inspection, should you wish to audit them!!
