Story

It was October 2012 and I had just turned 21, about to begin my third year of university, when I was diagnosed with cancer. It seems the diagnosis had been a while coming, though it turns out I got lucky... it had invaded my bloodstream but not settled down anywhere else yet.

All of the initial treatment (surgery and chemotherapy) took around 5 months to complete, obviously knocking me off my feet.

Cancer Research are an amazing organisation who are responsible for discovering many of the treatments for cancer, saving lives.  It goes without saying that I feel a deep respect and gratefulness for their work.

In September I am running the 'Spartan Sprint', in October I am running a half-marathon in Birmingham, in November I'm competing in the 'Pain and Suffering' event and in January 2014 the big one... Winter 'Tough Guy'.
