Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Five years ago to the day, we tragically lost one of the greatest men I’ve ever been lucky enough to meet. I’m proud to say Robert was my father in law, but also a much loved father, husband, brother and son. Robert, or Ossie as he was universally known was diagnosed with lung cancer in September 2011, and passed away on January 13th 2013.
His daughters Jess (my incredible wife) and Sophie, set up the Robert Osborn tribute fund shortly after Ossie passed away, and have raised a staggering amount of money so far (in excess of £20,000), through events like the National Three Peaks Challenge, sponsored rambles, an auction, and other incredibly generous donations from friends and family.
Now, five years after losing Ossie, I’ve decided to remember him by running in the 2018 London Marathon. The work that Roy Castle do to help those in their battle with lung cancer is truly astounding, and really does make a huge difference. But they rely on charitable donations from people like you.
It is a cliché, but absolutely any donation, any amount, truly does make a difference. If you can, please sponsor me. And if you can make it, any support on the big day (April 22nd) will be hugely appreciated - I need all the help I can get!
Footnote: if you come on the day I can also offer free hugs with our brand new baby girl...how can you say no to that?!
