Story
Hi and thank you for looking at this page.
I'm Adam and I'm writing this on behalf of Charlie Watts. He is 10 years old and the youngest of my 5 sons. In 2018, he did his first charity walk, when he was 7. He has raised money for various charities doing sponsored walks. These are always done on and in remembrance of his Mum, Eileen, on what would be her birthday, 25th August. She died on 26th February 2013, when he was 2. Eileen was 46.This is his 4th walk.
This year, Charlie has chosen to raise money in their centenary year, for the Royal British Legion. In 2019, Charlie accompanied me and my dad to France and Belgium, where he saw first hand the Commonwealth cemeteries and memorials, where we also paid due reverence to Charlie's great great great uncle, William Bevan, at Etaples. On watching the last Remembrance Sunday coverage, Charlie said then, who he wanted to raise money for this year..
Since Charlie decided to raise money for the Royal British Legion, added incentive has been provided by seeing his eldest brother recently join the Royal Engineers.
