Story
We are doing a Colin Rooks memorial football day on 19th August at 12pm to remember my dad who sadly passed away last year due to cancer of a brain tumour.
Anyone who know my dad was a kind, friendly, caring and loved his family . What my dad loved the most was his sports whether he was playing football, cricket, doing Tae Kwon do even at an older age or coaching Walpole football club, he even won the league which achievement in itself. What he enjoyed was watching and always supporting us as a family whether driving, standing out in the rain cheering us on or running around to make sure we got everything. I’m so proud of him and so glad he was in my life.
The reason we have chosen this charity is because they gave us so much support and help when needed. My dad spent a year and a bit at the Alan Hudson treatment day and he always had a smile on his face when his came back home after going there. Staff were friendly, caring and supporting, we couldn’t thank them enough what they did for my dad. So we are hoping to raise money to help others who need them.
This football day is on 19th August at 12pm on Walpole playing field. It will be fun, full of laughter and joy.
Come and support us on the day and please donate to a wonderful cause. Big thank you !!
