Fundraising for British Heart Foundation
Our first child Harry was born with a congenital heart condition – Transposition of the Great arteries. At 8 days he had his operation, open heart surgery – a 6 hour marathon that re-plumbed his heart to enable the blood to flow in the right direction.
Our stay in the hospital seems like a distant memory – Harry is a thriving, healthy and sporty young man, and we very rarely stop to consider his early days. The British Heart Foundation (BHF) made that possible – the support and help we received got us through those difficult first days, and then connected us with their wider network for support going on into the future.
We are very lucky that Harry has no life-limiting consequences from his condition – BHF deal every day with seriously ill children who do not have the happy outcome that we did. In giving to BHF you are ensuring that many more families can rely on BHF in their time of need.
Thank you for the support!
