Adam's 4 Rounds of Golf in 1 Day page

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On June 25th I will be undertaking a golfing challenge to raise money for an amazing charity called Mind. The challenge will be to play 4 rounds of golf in 1 day which equates to 13 miles in distance whilst playing golf. I will be starting at 5am on the morning of the 25th June and I won't finish until all 72 holes have been completed.
Mental health and wellbeing is something that I feel strongly about and over the past year or so I have suffered myself. I was supported by my family and friends and I am now on the road to recovery and I've realised that it's OK to say I'm not OK and it's not a weakness to ask for help. A contributing factor to my mental health suffering was that during the first lockdown my wife lost her mother due to cancer. My amazing mother in law was called Dawn Baker and Dawn worked as a peer mentor for Mind in Stockton-on-Tees. Dawn was a huge advocate for mental health awarness and she loved her role within the charity. Dawn passed away in May of last year and its left a huge void in our lives and I know she would have supported me in my decision to try and raise money for the Mind charity. Dawn was someone who I could talk to about anything and everything and not being able to speak to her now is still upsetting at times. I am hoping to raise as much money as possible and by doing so I know it will help so many people with their mental health and wellbeing and not only will it make me proud of myself I know that Dawn will be looking down on us with a huge sense of pride and a big smile.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you would like to leave a donation no matter how much then that would be amazing. Thank you once again and please do not be afraid to reach out for help if you need it as help is there for you.
Best wishes and kind regards
Adam Martin
