Adam's Kilimanjaro Climb

Kilimanjaro Climb · 7 August 2016
Hi!
I like to take on a challenge every year in order to raise money for charity and this summer I am climbing Mount Kilimanjaro (the tallest mountain in Africa) to raise money for Vision Aid Overseas.
640 million people- 10% of the worlds population are disadvantaged by poor vision and lack of spectacles and being an Optometry student, this is an issue close to my heart.
Every year, Vision Aid Overseas utilises the skills of hundreds of optical volunteers who are able to treat thousands of patients by giving them an eye test and correctly prescribed glasses. They are working to create sustainable solutions to combat uncorrected refractive error (where the eye cannot clearly focus images). For more information, please visit the Vision Aid Overseas website (http://www.visionaidoverseas.org).
Thank you for taking the time to read this and please do donate to this great cause!
