Story
This time last year I was a very unhealthy 24 stone, I decided I was fed up with feeling terrible, feeling sluggish and out of breath when I played with my daughters. So I started on the journey to lose weight, to my surprise in the first week I lost 8 pounds, this was without running. I then thought how much more can I lose if I run, so the next week I started running, of sorts. It was hard work running just 1.5 miles at first but I kept at it and in the week before Christmas 2017 I ran a total of 43.5 miles with the last run being a 12 miler in just over 2 hours. This was 35 weeks from my first run. I also could sign off from my diet in 2017 by losing just shy of 6 stone, 80 pounds to be exact.
We are now in 2018 and I’m still at it and have ran this week 30 miles and lost 2 pounds.
I decided that my new found lust for running could be put to good use and raise some money for well deserved charities such as Barnados so I signed up for my first half marathon which would be a great achievement considering where I have come from.
I could not of achieved what I have so far without the support of my family, friends and colleagues...
