Cardiovascular diseases remain among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Like many of you, I have had several friends and family members who have suffered from heart and/or vascular disease. As many of you know, I am a postdoctoral research scientist at the University of Oxford in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine (If you're curious as to what my research is on, please see www.rdm.ox.ac.uk/people/adam-lewandowski). Much of my research during my PhD and postdoc has been funded by the British Heart Foundation (BHF) --- none of the research we do would be possible without the incredible generosity from the public! Every bit of support will help make a difference.
