We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I ran in the Brighton Marathon on 18 April. I'm happy to say I completed the race, with a time of 4 h 36 min 52 sec.

I'm raising money for Cancer Research UK, and I'm sure I don't need to tell you what a fantastically good cause that is. Their research has been at the heart of the progress that has seen survival rates for cancer double in the last 30 years. But there is of course still so much to do, as cancer still claims so many lives.

This was brought home to me very poignantly for this race, as my good friend Geoff Hall died of prostate cancer just a few days beforehand. I can only hope that the money I raise, with your help, will give cancer patients in the future more chance of a cure than Geoff had.
