Story
In May 2022 my friend Ian (44) was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. Anybody who has had any experience of this condition will know how horrific the disease is.
There is no test to diagnose MND (for Ian there was 18 months of uncertainty, before the diagnosis was confirmed). There is also no current cure for the condition.
The Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) have been a holding hand to Ian and the family since diagnosis. They do amazing work and fund everything from national research trials to local grants for life adaptations.
Every penny they spend is for the benefit of MND Warriors.
Ian and his family continually inspire us with their strength, dignity, humour and stoicism throughout the most challenging times imaginable.
I am running a half marathon in support of Ian and family and to raise awareness of MND and importantly to raise money to aid the funding of the MND association who provide ongoing support for sufferers of the disease and their families.
Anyone who knows me will understand this is a serious challenge for me so please give to the cause and I will hopefully do all of the MND warriors proud!
