Story
This winter I will be Walking Home For Christmas to raise money for our vulnerable veterans. The journey is 220 miles from Warminster, Wiltshire to my home town of Beverley, East Yorkshire. I will be walking over a marathon a day, alone and will be sleeping rough in the English winter each night. I will be attempting this challenge from the 15-24 Dec 16.
Walking Home For Christmas is a campaign to support homeless and other vulnerable veterans this Christmas by helping them to reintegrate back into society and regain their independence, through employment.
Many of our veterans have walked in far worse and more dangerous environments than we might care to imagine. Be inspired by their determination and challenge yourself to take part in walking home for Christmas.
As a Captain in the Yorkshire Regiment I have seen first hand the struggles that some of our service personnel deal with when leaving the Armed Forces.
Walking With The Wounded supports veterans with physical, mental or social injuries back into independence and employment. You can make a difference to the most vulnerable ex-servicemen and women. Thank you for your support.
