For the past month and a half, I have secretly been in training to take part in a white collar boxing event for charity. I have never boxed before, and this has been quite literally one of the hardest and most demanding things I have ever had to face. From 4.00am starts and all-weather runs; to lung-crushing intensive gym sessions; to gruelling sparring sessions, I have embarked upon a path which is not for the faint-hearted. There has been blood, sweat, and tears with the promise of more to come!

February sees the training ratchet up tenfold and build in intensity and insanity towards the main event - a one-on-one fight on Friday 23rd March at Pryzm NightClub in Birmingham (Old Gate Crasher) on Broad Street, Birmingham from 7:00 pm - 10:30 pm. There will be up to fourteen bouts of top quality boxing covering all weight categories and abilities, including an after party event until late!

Tickets cost £25.00 and a portion of the money gets donated to a nominated charity of my choice. I have decided to support LoveBrum, which is a registered charity that supports hidden gem projects across Birmingham that are often volunteer led and that deliver real change, with outcomes that can be seen, measured, enjoyed, and loved. LoveBrum supports the ‘hard-to-reach’ projects; causes that are not pro led, or do not receive the platform, and funding, that they probably deserve. They aim to support 12 projects per year, and to reach out to all corners of Birmingham.

If you would like to come a long for a top night of boxing including me, at a top venue, please let me know ASAP so that I can reserve you a ticket. Tickets are on sale for approximately two weeks and are subject to limited availability. Please let me know if you would like to attend.

Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity. All monies will go directly to the charity and provide valuable funding towards supporting good causes around Birmingham. 

Not only that, but your generosity and donation will remind me that I have friends fighting my corner, spurring me on and giving me the boost I need to complete my training before I step into the ring for the biggest challenge of my life.
