Story
I’m running the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2023, to help raise awareness of motor neurone disease (MND) and how it affects individuals and their loved ones.
…For my Dad, for Rob, for All
This marathon is a tribute to my dad who was diagnosed with MND in 2017 and unfortunately passed way in 2021. He inspired my love of keeping active and sharing that experience with others. I also moved to the great city of Leeds in 2004 to study Medicine. I became a doctor here, subsequently an academic GP and met and married my wife. I also have made many friends through sport and physical activity particularly running and triathlon.
I will be raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association who fund research, improve care and provide support for people with MND, their families and carers. It’s going to be a great day. Anything you can give will benefit so many people.
