Story
I’m fundraising for the Sussex Beacons this year. Its a charity local to my home town and I’ve been inspired by all the runners I have seen in the Brighton marathons over the past 6 years. Training this year has been difficult as we have a new puppy, Lottie “The Destroyer of Sleep”, breaking all our household rhythms. The race itself is going to be tough as I’m travelling for work the week before, arriving back Saturday with the race on Sunday…I’m going to be jet lagged. So please donate what you can to a very worthy cause.
It is the Sussex Beacon’s 30th Birthday, they are looking to celebrate by reaching their fundraising target of £30,000. With support we can raise the money for a nurses salary. This means that we can continue our vital specialist care for people living with HIV, who might be recovering from treatment, getting help with new medication or seeking support for their mental health. Whilst medication now means that people can live long and full lives after being diagnosed with HIV, many still suffer from secondary illnesses such as dementia or cancer, or face psychological effects from the stigma and isolation still associated with a positive diagnosis.Your support will be especially appreciated this year on The Sussex Beacons 30th Birthday, ensuring that we can provide specialist HIV care for many years still to come.
Thanks Adam.
