Story

Hellooooo everybody,

As some of you know (mostly the ones calling me an idiot), I along with a select few of my friends have decided to run a race called the 'Spartan Beast'. This is a 12 Mile cross country obstacle course, which on its website has been accredited with the opening line of.. "12 mile Obstacle Race from Hell".. which of course has filled me with no end of confidence! (see http://www.spartanrace.com/london-obstacle-racing-spartan-beast-2012.html).

This race will push me to my limits of physical and mental endurance, however this is a very small price to pay in order to help such a worthwile cause.

A very close friend of mine, who I am running the race with's mum lost her battle to Leukaemia on April 15 2006, and I have had many other friends and family affected by various other forms of cancer. Many of you will be in the same horrible situation of knowing someone who has been affected by a type of cancer, and will know the devastating effects it has on the person, and their friends and family.

This charity along with many others like it are set up to fund research in finding cures and more effective treatments. Any donation, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated by myself, my team and anyone affected by this horrible cancer.

Our team has set their sights on a £1000 target, which in 51 days may seem like quite a push, however we feel that there's no point in aiming low. So if you can spread the word about our event to friends, family, and even random strangers you bump into who seem a bit generous, we would very much appreciate it, as every little helps! (thanks tesco)
