Story
Over the past decade I have had a number of operations to try and fix various problems with my vision which, despite the best efforts of some amazing consultants at Moorfields Eye Hospital in both London and Cambridge, have left me partially sighted.
The RNIB have helped me with some practical advice about adaptations i can make to stop this being as limiting as some may feel it can be. It's not easy to ask for help sometimes and it doesn't come naturally to us all but without the RNIB it wouldn't be there at all.
I am running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April and raising money for the RNIB to make sure as many people have access to their support in the future. I know that this is not an easy time to be asking for donations, but anything that you can spare would be greatly appreciated This is my own space in the run so all of your donation will go to the RNIB.
Every day, 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. Too many still face isolation and depression, unable to achieve their potential in a world that blocks their way. RNIB wont stop until every last psychological and physical barrier has gone for good. With your help, RNIB can be there when people need them most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you donate is helping create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.
