At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

On Friday 11 December 2020 after a long fight my Mum sadly lost her battle with Dementia.

In my Mum’s memory, I decided to take on and complete  ✅ the Lands End to John O’Groats (LEJOG) Virtual Fitness Challenge  in 2021. LEJOG Is a 1083 mile journey equating to approximately 21miles a week across a year 😅.

This year, to continue to raise money and awareness I will be running the London Marathon on 2 October.

Seeing the devastating effects of dementia first hand, I know how important the work of an organisation like the Alzheimer's Society is.

Too many people with dementia aren't having the quality of life they could and not every dementia sufferer is lucky enough to have a hero like my father, dedicated to caring and supporting them to maintain a good quality of life, continuing to create new memories to the very end.

Please spare anything you can to help me raise some funds for this truly fantastic cause. Because, life shouldn't end when dementia begins.
