We've signed up for the Great North Run and we'll be supporting Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. 

They're an ace local charity who train hearing dogs. The hearing dogs eventually move on to a deaf owner - a child or adult - and help give them their confidence and independence back.   

As well as being a loving companion, hearing dogs also keep their owners safe. They alert them to everyday sounds like the doorbell and the alarm clock, but also danger signals like the fire alarm. 

We're so grateful for anything you can spare - it'll definitely help us round the course...
