Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our just giving page.  Active School's works with all school age children, to help them become more active, more often, by looking at removing barriers to participation and creating opportunities.

On 1st April 2021, the team of 23 Active School's Co-ordinators will undertake a 24 hour physical challenge where we will all do a wide range of physical activities to span over 24 hours.

As we know, Physical Activity improves our mental health and we wanted to work together as a team to do a 24 hour physical challenge to raise money for SAMH and Edinburgh based projects, who support adults to  moving and to improve their mental health.

The Edinburgh based projects 'The Changing Room Project' aims to promote men's mental health and wellbeing through the power of sport and physical activity.

SAMH has ran from 1923 and operates over 60 community services in Scotland, as well as running a national awareness programmes work such as 'See Me', 'respectme', suicide prevention, sport and physical activity and work to inform policy and campaign work in order to influence positive social change.
