Story

Active Academy Tennis have been delivering a tennis experience at Bishop's Waltham for the past 4 years from two courts....we don't have a club house so when it rains we get wet, our match teas are served from the boot of a car, we share a toilet with other clubs away from the courts.

We want players both children and adults to have a place where they can meet friends and have a drink, to shelter from the weather and to create a sense of togetherness.

We have teamed up with other clubs and Bright Ideas for Tennis  whose main goal is to encourage more people to play more tennis. Our fantastic sport has been medically proven to not only improve ones physical health, but also to aid and maintain ones mental well-being too.

About the charity

Our primary goal is to support tennis clubs in the UK by increasing membership numbers, raising participation levels and improving playing facilities. We encourage venues to expand their existing coaching sessions, creating an all-inclusive programme for their community.
