Our story

In early 2021 a close friend and colleague passed away, Dan Hirst. In Dan’s memory we challenged ourselves to push both our physical and mental boundaries for the whole of April 2022 in “Active April for Dan”. This year Active April for Dan is back and it is bigger and better than before!

Dan changed the lives of everyone he met and we are proud and grateful to have known him. Dan did not let his cancer diagnosis dampen his positivity and he showed great courage and kindness throughout his period of ill health. We all miss Dan’s passion and enthusiasm for life, his love of trains and Tottenham Hotspur.

Active April events

We want Active April for Dan to be fully inclusive and we want as many people as possible to get involved. There is no activity too big or too small. 

Whatever you choose, do it for Dan.

In Dan's memory all funds from this page will be donated to cancer charities including the hospice that cared for Dan, Meadow House Hospice.
