Story
In December 2018, our dear friend and colleague Kent Rhodes lost his brave fight against Cancer.
Kent was known and respected for his abundant and challenging nature, so it seems fitting that we should do what we can to keep his spirit alive!
To honor Kent's life each year the ActionCOACH UK community embarks on a challenge that reflects those traits whilst doing as much as we can to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
This year we decided to really stretch ourselves and take on two challenges!
The first of those challenges took place on the 11th of June, when a team of amateur (but keen !) walkers completed a 20-mile hike, with a total elevation of 1000 m, in the Peak District, Derbyshire.
A massive thank you to everybody who made that event possible.
............................................................................................................................
The second (and arguably), the tougher challenge starts on the 3rd of October when a group of us take on Kilimanjaro!
We're both excited and anxious at the same time, but knowing that any hardship we endure, will be insignificant compared to the struggles of so many children and their families that have to fight cancer every day of their lives.
The Killi crew is made up of:
Andrew Kureishy
Roger Pemberton
Karin Carruthers
Sanjiv Dodhia
Marc Eccles
Will Roig
Nik Gray
Hannah Stenning
Tadas Pilka
Andrew Stokes
Donovan Lindsay
Any donations or support you can give to raise much-needed funds will be greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately, there are still too many parents, each day who hear the dreaded news that their child has cancer. If our efforts can help to reduce that number, then we would have done Kent proud.
Thank You
KRC Warriors 2022.
