I decided to capitalize on my birthday for a good cause? Hehe, although we should aim to give all year round (whenever we are in a position to do so), I am making a request to you all this time of year because giving to charity is a great thing to do (so many rewards attached to it), and idk, people are more giving towards birthday fundraisers (?)Also, it is the BLESSED MONTH OF RAMADAN (last ten nights too <3) so, yea I am pulling out every appeal I can think of to encourage you to donate. Anyway, I am fundraising in support of Action Against Hunger's Yemen Crisis Appeal. As violence in Yemen nears its fourth year, the country is facing the world's worst humanitarian crisis. More than 14 million people are facing starvation and an estimated 85,000 children may have died from extreme hunger since the start of the conflict. Some of us are blessed enough to be enjoying Ramadan with plenty to eat and surrounded by loved ones, however, many aren't as fortunate. As we enter into the last 10 nights of Ramadan I urge everyone to remember people around the world who are suffering or struggling in your duas and pray Allah makes it easy on them. I urge everyone to give whatever YOU CAN, not just to this cause, but to different fundraisers, charities, mosque donation boxes, and even to families back home. If you give a dollar every day for these next 10 nights and your donation falls on laylatul-Qadr, it is more rewarding than doing so for 1000 months. With all that being said, Action Against Hunger is on the ground, delivering lifesaving support through the treatment of malnutrition, medical assistance and provision of clean, safe drinking water, as well as providing support for families that have been displaced during the conflict in Yemen, I ask you all to give what you can. Jazāk Allāhu Khayran (May Allah reward you with goodness <3).
