We have pushed ourselves to our limits to do 30 lengths today at our swimming lesson and now only 2 percent left to go until we reach France! Florence x After our hard work mummy bought us some sweeties and they were yummy! Pia x

Ok we can smell the garlic, last 212 lengths to go until we touch land! Its been a great journey - we might even have frites with our moules xx

Great swim today, just what was needed after a late night in The Swan! We are all loving the swimming and can almost smell the garlic!

I went swimming with mummy this morning .We did 44 lengths in total.It was fun.

80 lengths today and it felt really good. thank you again to all the people who have sponsored us - we are having a lot of fun doing this challenge although we have yet to find a body wash that takes away that lovely smell of chlorine!!

Great swim today with the girls, Florence bumped into her friend Sarah at the pool and they charged through the lengths together - go girls. Pia managed 3 fantastic lengths and some very elegant floating with a noodle!!

Great swim today and have stepped up the lengths to 60 a visit now. Really pleased to notice that I no longer drown so much when I do front crawl!

Like many people this summer we really got into the Olympics, especially Nick who gave anyone who cared to listen an updated medal table! We were lucky enough to go and see the athletics at the ParaOlympics where the atmosphere in the stadium was amazing - when Richard Whitehead stormed through to win Gold there wasn\'t a dry eye amongst the Gowing or the Stadium come to think of it! So inspired by it all Florence, Pia and myself have decided to \'Swim the Channel\' to raise money for Aspire who help people with spinal injuries. Luckily Aspire allow us to do the distance (22 long miles gulp!) in our local pool rather than in the chaos that is the English Channel! So no ferries, murky waters or dolphins (Kerim!) for us but 1,416 lengths to do by 2 December!! We are all water babies but none of us are distance swimmers so there will be considerable effort involved and, if you are kind enough to sponsor us, our efforts will be worth it.
