Fundraising for Raleigh International Trust
Story
Hi everyone,

This is it, my last year of school is nearing it's end and I decided that this summer I would do something special, something different, forget about my own little wishes for once and donate some of my time and energy to others.
I will be going to Costa Rica on a five week expedition in July, working as part of a group, consisting of raleigh international venturers like myself and volunteer managers, in various projects to help out the local communities and protect the environment.
Some of the community projects include building infrastructures such as school rooms, toilets and hospitals and ensuring access to clean and safe drinking water.
The environmental projects include renovating or building ranger stations and trails into the forest. These projects are important to the conservation of eco-systems and biodiversity in Costa Rica.
During my trip, I will learn important skills such as building camp sites and living out in the jungle with only the bare necessities.
