Story

Abraxas Catering and MAAC need you!

For the 2nd year running, Abraxas  is supporting the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity through a number of fundraising events during 2019.  The first being The Tough Mudder Challenge which both Wendy Woodward (Director) and Tom Wraight (Engineer) are taking part, in July.  One reason is that MAAC need to raise an incredible £9 million to respond to approximately 2,000 missions each year, across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands, and secondly, due to a serious health scare in 2016, Wendy decided to do something challenging every year, whilst raising money for a worthy cause at the same time.

You always hope that you will never need the services of the Midland Air Ambulance, but unfortunately every day traumatic incidents including cardiac arrests, road traffic collisions and sports injuries occur and MAAC reaches 90% of the region and remote locations within eight minutes  to attend to patients unreachable by land ambulance.
