Ableworld staff taking the plunge

A group of Staff from Head Office will be taking part in a 5k ‘Run or Dye’ Charity Run held at Cholmondley Castle on the 27^th June.  From Marketing Ceri, her partner Simon and son Alfie, Vickie, Michelle’s Daughter Bethan along with Sara in Store Operations, stepson Connor and Tonya and Kelly from Customer Services will be walking or running through the course in a shower of eco-friendly, plant based powdered dye.

Each person has paid to take part but have agreed that it would be a nice touch to do the run for charity.  As it is Deafblind week that same week, they would like donations to go to DeafblindUK. Deafblind UK was launched in 1928 by a small group of deafblind people and their carers to offer mutual support and understanding in the face of conditions they found ‘unjustifiably cruel and hard.’ Today Deafblind UK is a national charity that is still focused on meeting the specific needs of those with both a hearing and sight loss. It’s Chair, plus the majority of the board, are deafblind.
