Story
Able is 20 years old and is on an assisted internship with The Key at Hannahs, Seale-Hayne. Having left South Devon College in the summer, he now spends three days a week at Seale-Hayne following the Pathway to Employment course.
Making the most of everything Hannahs at Seale-Hayne has to offer, Able started going to Friday Inc, the monthly accessible night club, and was then given the opportunity to host his own weekly show at Access All Aerials, the on-site radio studio. He also enjoys using the hydrotherapy pool and having lunch in the Bistro.
Able lives in Dartington and has a range of disabilities following meningitis as a toddler. However Able has never let his disabilities get in the way and is a real action man. He loves trying out new sports and making friends. He has been gliding, flying in a hot air balloon and has piloted a two-seater plane. He also enjoys playing powerchair football with Ocean City PFC in Plympton, riding, sailing, going to the gym and skiing at the Adaptive Ski Club in Exeter.
He is a regular at the Junction Youth Club in Newton Abbot where he is a youth worker. He loves mixing dance music and going to music
festivals.
